Jesse White Brings Office Services to U of I

Secretary of State Jesse White is reminding University of Illinois students, faculty and staff that they may renew their driver's license or state ID, purchase their annual vehicle license plate sticker, register to be an organ and tissue donor or conduct other transactions with his office on the Urbana-Champaign campus Wednesday, November 28, 2007.

White's office will provide certain driver and vehicle services on campus the last Wednesday of each month from 9:30am to 2:30pm in the Illini Union, 1401 West Green, Room 314 (3rd Floor North).

"This partnership between the Secretary of State's Office and the University of Illinois is a great example of how my office can work with public and private institutions to make these transactions more convenient," White said.

Secretary of State employees will be on hand to renew, replace or correct driver's licenses and state ID cards. Acceptable forms of payment include personal checks and cash. The mobile unit cannot process credit or debit cards.

Customers may also purchase vehicle registration renewal stickers for license plates as well as University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign specialty license plates, passenger vehicle license plates and B-Truck plates. Other services available include vehicle title registration and parking placards for persons with disabilities. A complete list of acceptable forms of identification is available at: www.CyberDriveIllinois.com.

White's office will again provide these same services on campus January 23, February 27, March 26 and April 30.
