Jesse White Wins International Award for Website
Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White's office was honored by the International Association of Commercial Administrators (IACA) with an Award of Merit for his Business Services site on the CyberdriveIllinois.com website.
The award, presented May 14th in Seattle, Washington, at IACA's 30th Annual Conference, recognized the website for its overall appearance, round-the-clock accessibility, user-friendly design, and compliance with ADA standards.
"This award is recognition that my office is running like a successful business," said White. "My goal is to use technology to better serve the public in a manner that allows them to conduct business 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from the comfort of their offices or homes."
The Illinois Business Services site on CyberdriveIllinois.com accepts online transactions for Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings and searches, Certificates of Good Standing for corporations and limited liability companies, and filings of Annual Reports for corporations and limited liability companies.
Within the last year, the Business Services site has seen an exponential increase in online filings. Over 50 percent of all UCC transactions are now filed online, and more than 80 percent of Certificates of Good Standing are purchased through the website.
The website placed third in an international competitive judging process that included government agencies throughout North America, including the United States and Canada.
IACA members include government agencies administering business entity regulations in the United States, Canada, the European Union, New Zealand and Australia.
